Market Update "Stuck"

I have had this happen a couple times and do not remember what I did to "fix" it...so here goes...

I download an app in the Market...use it and then see there is an update...I tell my Evo to do the update and it just sits there "downloading" but nothing is happening. If I try to cancel the download, i get a force close.

Rebooting the phone does not help...it is still in the "downloading" mode...

What can I do?

Try a reeboot. Same thing happened to me today.. i think the market was down. I did a reeboot and it works.

If that doesn't work go into settings-->applications--> find market and clear the cache.

Can you sign into Google Talk?

I had this happen the other day, but in my case it was because the phone was low on space. Once I deleted some apps I rarely use, the downloads starting flowing again.

This happened to me with with the last dropbox update....what I did was open the market and load up the app that was hanging...long pressed on the app and it gave me the option to cancel the download. Then I was able to re-download.

That happens to me all the time. I just open Talk, log in and log back out, and the downloads start up again.
