Marking e-mails Read/Opened

Is there a way to highlight all of the items in your e-mail that you would like to mark as either opened or deleted instead of doing the task one by one? I am coming from the BB Storm and was able to do that with my BB.

Thanks, but I found the answer in another thread. But, i'll try K9 mail and see how it works.
