Marks in the coating on the wood back.

Hey all,

Just curious to see if this is normal wear, or if it is something weird going on with the finish on the back of my phone and if I should get it exchanged before my return period is up.

Basically, there are imperfections in the matte finish over the wood, mainly around and below the indent. I thought it might be dirt, but it doesn't wipe off.

Is this just wear that will eventually even out over the entire back over time or is it an issue with my particular back and I should have it exchanged?

Just hang onto it. It looks like residue from the manufacturing process that will eventually wear away.

Yeah, since it's real wood, they definitely have to seal it. Looks fine to me. Should wear off with a little time and use.
