Got the update today. Installed it and performance is surely improved over previous version. Multitasking is now much better than in Android 5.1.1..
Opening apps is a lot faster than before.
Haven't found any improvements in camera though...

I'm glad that apps are running better for you with the Marshmallow update. :)

Installed the update today. Performance has improved, however camera needs to be fixed . unable to turn off shutter sound and video recording start n stop sound. Clicks pictures wid volume button press too.

Try to use "enforced stream silencer". Can be found in a Google search.

Performance improvements are there also liked the new data toggle not sure about the battery output

What happens if you switch the shutter off in the camera wheel? It works for me. Swipe in from the left edge, swipe up on the wheel and tap on the speaker icon.

There is no speaker icon in the camera menu. It was present in Android 5.1.1
Is there any other way to stop the sound while taking a pic?

Strange. This is what I get. It's one of the last options in that wheel.

Yes.

Edit. I did a little search and found that in some countries is against the law turning the shutter off. Not sure about India.

Our of interest how is play music working on marshmallow? I find the app painfully slow on lollipop

It's OK. Still lags a little but I don't use it.
Equaliser app works really nice and is better than the default app

Putting the phone in silent mode or vibrate mode might work. If that doesn't work then you would need to use a third party camera app. Also be sure it is legal in your country to turn off the shutter sound

Since i updated Marshmallow on my Moto X play i am not able to open the messaging app. It just says unable to open messaging. There are no other error messages. Please suggest options.
