Ok, this is only reason why i’m still on iOS is because for work i need to message a group about 5-10 with updates. With iOS i have a app to create lists which i can just pick out and type message and send.

Last time i tried on a samsung s9 people did not receive my texts. again i want to mass text not group i don’t want people to see each other’s replies.

Does android offer an app or would i have to manually add everyone when creating new sms?

Also does att wifi calling work on pixel 3?

Can't answer the AT&T question, but there's a setting in the stock messages app that sounds like what you're after, I think.

There's also this app: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.dallinc.masstext

I never have used it but downloaded it awhile ago as I was thinking about using my Google Voice number as my work phone number and was looking for a way to send one text to a group of contacts without everyone in the group text seeing each other's numbers. I downloaded this app because it's one of the few I could find that intergrades with the Contact Groups.

Well done Yank. There is normally a way to do things on Android, this a little more straight forward than most. This community seems to have a lot of the answers.

Now to file this away for when I need it.

The reason "this community seems to have a lot of the answers", Gator, is because there are so many people here. I was selling phones before there were smartphones, and I didn't know that one - but Yank did.

Thanks, will give that app a try once I get my phone. Hopefully this time around sms works so I can stay on android.

I use Textra because it allows custom notification tones. It has this feature in Settings. It uses the terms Chat vs Bulk but works the same way.

Use Samsung to create Contact Groups then use Textra to send SMS to Groups. You can set Textra so that all replies come to you only. I use this feature daily exactly the way you describe.
