Massive sotrage issue on Samsung Galaxy S9+

So I've had my samsung galaxy s9+ for almost a year now, and i cant help but notice an enormous storage issue. I keep getting alerts saying im low storage and when i go to the storage evaluator it says im using about 13 Gb of memory in various places (videos, pics, apps, etc.), but my overall usage is 63 Gb. I was wondering where in the world could this mystery 50 Gb of memory be going. I understand some memory is reserved for the OS, but 50 Gb is absurd. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Install Terminal Emulator for Android. Issue the command

df

The last line is the storage you can use. (If you flip the phone to landscape mode, it's easier to see the headers and the partition names.)

You might try going into device maintenance and then storage, and let it clean up.

I read somewhere that there can be a temp file from photos that can slowly build up and be rather large. It can be deleted if that is the problem.

Spotify can have massive cache if you listen a lot. It will not show up in Device maintenance. You have to clear it through Spotify app.
