I'm gutted, I payed £699 Carphone Warehouse , 3 weeks ago.
Today its £529 unlocked Carphone Warehouse 😞

Sold !

I dropped and smashed my Note 8 last week, sent it off to be repaired but insurers repair centre managed to lose it while they had it so they've just made a bank transfer of £870 to go buy a new one myself and also refunded my £75 excess. I had a little look online and noticed the Mate10 Pro reduced to only £530 so I know what I'll be buying instead. This will give me an equally good phone and a huge pocket full of change to sweeten it even further.
I opted for the Note 8 as an upgrade to my P10 instead of the Mate 10 Pro generally because I felt it was a better all rounder. Wireless charging and Always On Display are quite important to me but Mate 10 still has Always On Display of sorts so it's not the end of the world and I've been pretty dissatisfied with the camera on the Note. I honestly have better photos from my P10 than the Note produced so I'm sure I'll be happy with the Mate. Also the battery was quite poor on the Note so I'll be upgrading there too. Most of all the Mate doesn't have way too exposed and fragile curved edges so it's less likely to shatter on the first drop even with a case on

Does the UK version have dual SIM btw?

Ahhh ok thanks. It's not something I've ever bothered with before to be honest. A few reviews mentioned dual SIM so thought might be handy to throw in my work SIM too and only have to carry one phone around. No biggy
