I have a Huawei mate 20 Pro paired to my galaxy watch, thought it would be handy if it could reverse wireless charge the watch if i ever needed too but it doesn't appear to charge it. Seems to work fine reverse charging other phones so guessing its the watch not liking it?

I moved this from the General Help forum to the Mate 20 Pro forum for more specific traffic.

Wait, you're plugging the watch into the phone? Or you're trying to charge the watch wirelessly? It doesn't work that way. Wireless charging only works if a device with a wireless charging receiver (like a Qi receiver) is placed on a charging pad. Tesla's "wireless power at a distance" never worked, and still doesn't.

The thing about the Mate 20 Pro is that it can actually wirelessly charge other devices, so the OP is asking if it can wirelessly charge a watch as well.

The Mate 20 Pro can wirelessly charge other devices, place the watch on the back of the phone and try moving it around so you know where the coils are. Also note reverse wireless charging turns off automatically each time after charging a device so you have to manually turn it back on in settings before charging again.
