I have had to replace the usb board myself (optus claimed water damage - despite the phone never having been exposed to any water/liquid) on my mate 9 but since doing this one of the microphones is not working. The usb board I have used is clearly not a genuine part but everything else seems to be working ok (except for quick charge). Below is what I have noticed so far:
I am able to use the speaker phone but not with the directional mic.
I can record my voice using the recorder app in normal mode but not meeting mode.
google assistant is not able to hear me.
Does anyone know of the exact location of each microphone in this phone and/or a way to test each mic independently?
