Mate 9 or V20. Which one should I buy?

It's best to go to a store and get your hands on both and see which you prefer. I don't know much about the Mate 9 or Huawei in general but it seems like a nice phone. I can tell you that I love my V20! I switched from an S7 Edge and love it.

What is it about the V20 you like more than the Edge?

The fingerprint scanner is much faster, it's not laggy (no TouchWiz), the second screen is much more useful than the edge screen, it has an IR blaster, it shows meta data in my car (for some reason, Samsung doesn't show track names, albums and artists in my car but every other phone does), removable battery.. I loved my edge and miss certain features but I'm loving the V20.

Agreed.... Some of us are probably not familiar with mate 9

V20 by pure virtue of not being compromised out of the box.

A couple of things would make me lean towards the V20. both have an LCD screen, but the ppi is better on the V20 (~513 ppi pixel density) compared to the M9 (~373 ppi pixel density). The cameras are very similar but the V20 has a slight edge as well with a f/1.8 compared to the M9's f/2.2. Than of course there's the Quad DAC that's in the V20 for music listening pleasure.

That being said, the Huawei Mate 9 is a very nice device and I'd love to have it as well.

I was in the same boat..I got the v20 as well and I so happy I did..I'm getting great battery life and I just love the wide angle lens.
