On my Note 3, when I attempt to add a personalized signature by way of copy and paste, I get a "Operation not allowed. Maximum message size exceeded" message. The signature isn't all that big and if I type in a bunch of characters exceeding the size of the paste, it actually works. It only doesn't work via copy and paste. I have 3 EAS accounts and one IMAP. I have the same issue with all 4 accounts.

That occurs when I copy and paste from an e-mail message. If I copy and paste from e-mail account to e-mail account, I don't have the problem. Is there some policy that controls this? I know it's not server based...but wondering if there's some device based policy I can change.

I've run into the same problem. I suspect (but cannot prove) that it has something to do with formatting in the text that you are trying to paste in. Very annoying.

Well, I format the text within the signature application. Push it down to 9 pts...but regardless of the size, it will not paste more than a certain number of characters. If I were to type in like 500-600 characters, which is more than what I have in there now, I can make it work. Seems like a bug to me.

Were you able to resolve the issue? I seem to be getting the same message when I try to cut and paste my HTML+graphic signature into the Note 3

Nope, it's some sort of bug or a poorly thought out feature if it deliberately has that type of limitation. My blackberry's never had any limitation and if they did, I could never reach it.

Got it, finally.
There's some formatting or picture in the text you're pasting.
Solution: paste the text into a new note in the "Memo" application on the phone (it will lose all formatting). Recopy from the note and paste again the text in the signature configuration. There.

Old post LOL - I had figured that out a long time ago, but have since moved to another e-mail client that works far better than the stock Samsung e-mail app!

Can you please advise the Email program you now use??
I have just purchased a Samsung Galaxy S5 and have the same issues!!!! Soooooooo disappointing!
