Didn't know if this had been posted, but Newegg.com is selling the Droid Maxx for $179.

Six month parallel contract with carrier contract. Not a big deal if you are a stable wireless user.

There can be a $400 fee if you don't pay your wireless bill, switch your line, or terminate your contract in the first 181 days after you activate the phone. I have done none of those in 10 years so I am not concerned.
You also go through them if you by a phone online from Sams Club and Radio Shack.

I do too many ESN swaps; which reminds me why I've never participated in one of these things. Very nice deal though!

"Has anyone ordered this phone? I tried to upgrade my phone and it shows an additional $30 upgrade fee."

It's an activation fee. I had to pay it and I bought mine in store.

Or just sit back, relax and wait like me. Read the reviews, see if any software updates come along that might help improve camera performance and other complaints. Im also waiting on some more in depth reviews and user experiences with LG's G2 and Sonys Xperia Z1. Im also considering the Note 3, but dont think i can deal with the size.
