Thanks to all. I never get a notification that there is an update. I wait for posts to this Group that indicates that there is an update before I manually check to see if there is AN UPDATE AVAILABLE. Thanks again.

You can manually check the first Monday of each month.

Also, go to Settings>Security>Google Play System Update and see if there's an update available there as well. This is separate from the monthly security patch.
