It's on the Verizon network, but not owned by Verizon as far as I know like Visible is.

It's strange for me as well, we have one of the phones from AT&T ported over to T-Mobile, and this one is still in UI 6.1. We requested an unlocked code from AT&T, and it went through during porting. Not sure what else needs to happen to get the update
