I ordered the iPhone 5 but recently discovered the HTC One X. This phone seems really legit. Can I use my iCloud (@me) account? Is there anyway to access my iCloud calendar? I have MacBooks and iPad which I love but after the hype calmed down I realize the iPhone 5 is sort of a let down.

Yes there is client apps for everything you mentioned I believe. Go to the Google play store online and peek around

Any e-mail client which supports IMAP can be configured for @me.com email (even Apple provides instructions for it in the help on icloud.com).

For calendars and contacts, although there are some apps on the market for it, it might be beneficial instead to set your Mac to synchronize these with Google. Not sure if the iPad can sync with Google too..
