Media not found (images/video/music) only new media is found (HTC M7). Where is my old media found?

Just this morning all media was "not found" by gallery or music player.
Taking new pictures with camera showed up in gallery.
Using ES file explorer: checking my DCIM directory still has over 500 photo's/video's in there. Music is also still on phone.
I tried reboot.
I tried emptying information and cache from gallery and mediastorage.
I also installed meda re.scan.
Nothing helped.
I am on stock Android 5.0.2 with Sense 6
Does anyone have a suggestion as to where I should look?

Have you tried wiping the system cache partition? https://support.t-mobile.com/docs/DOC-6526

I have same problem and i tried wiping the cache and dalvik cache in recovery, but nothing change.
Please help me. I'm on MaximusHD 52.0, 5.0.2, Sense 6
