Media player pause/play shortcut?

Just got my HTC Evo 4G today. Coming from a Blackberry all I can say is wow, what an epic phone. One thing I did have on my Blackberry was a button at the top of the phone that would pause/play whatever music file I had open. Surely there is a shortcut to do this on Evo without having to actually look at the phone and go into the media player every time you want to pause/play. Tough to google that phrase as well. Thanks.
