Media Server killing battery

I just deleted Google Messenger (SMS app) off my phone, and my phone instantly got cooler (was at 93°F, now at 81). Wondering if anyone else has tried teasing that out at the culprit to Note 5 battery drain?

Don't have it installed so I can't say. Mine is the screen that is causing huge battery drain, each day it's a bit worse but I take the phone off charge in the morning and withing 5 minutes of screen on about 1/4 brightness, I've lost 8-10%, totally ridiculous!
