MediaServer Help

Ok so i recently received the automatic update for my Captivate that has been rolling out this week, since then my battery life has been crappy. I use Batteryminder, and it says that now, something called "mediaserver" is taking up roughly 30% of my battery life. Prior to this recent update, the top item on my battery usage list was the screen and "mediaserver" wasnt ever listed at all. How can i deal with thi? my phone set-up, apps and usage has really not changed since updating...

not at all, thats what's concerning. i have a youtube and pandora widget, but i havent used either once in the past couple of days actually...

I watch movies everyday at work on my phone and I notice if I watch a movie and then don't close the video player and just keep it paused then mediaserver will eat my battery alive.

Restart your phone and look at your battery usage after about 30 minutes. chances are you won't see mediaserver eating up battery.
