Mediaserver

Does anyone have any idea why Mediaserver has suddenly started eating up my battery? I have not added any new apps. The only change to my set-up is the update to 905 when it was rolled out to the general public. I use PlayerPro and Slacker; very rarely watch any video, and not recently. Did a battery pull to see if some app hadn't let go, but as soon as the phone rebooted Mediaserver was second in the usage statistics (after display) at 32%. The phone is rooted, if that gives me any better troubleshooting or control over the issue. Help! Thanks.
