[MEGATHREAD] What does the T with four lines in front mean

Android Central Question

I have a strange symbol next to someone's name in my call log.

It only happens with one specific caller. It's never happened before today. It is a set of black hash lines and a capital T. When they try to call me they can hear me but I cannot hear them

Nope... nothing. I went to my profile to update my phone and tab but they're not in the (very old) list. And when I try to go to the forums from the website, it keeps booting me to the app. So aggy so I gave up. 🤨

Bruh, why didn't you introduce me to tapatalk? I thought we were cool. I got messages that have been marinating for months... and more months! I could've missed out in a whole soulmate in this joint

You wanted to ignore me just say it

Forums app I use , but you have to refresh it manually and check your mail from time to time as it doesn't inform you .

I'd probably know that if I stayed on the forums more than 3 weeks at a time. This is the longest I've hung out after a release.

AT&T locked devices have it but by default it only shows during calls but can be changed to always show. But when it's set to always show you lose the Video Calling button.

Trust, the love affair with Crapatalk won't last long. Once they start spamming you with notifications about stuff you have no interest in for a few days, and their Kin nonsense it'll get real old.

Yeah , when I went back to the carrier version on my Note 9 , seen it there , and turned it off

Too funny, because I've got 2 kin reminder thingies already. I was like wth is a kin? Down here kin means relatives

Welcome to the forums. I remember discussing about that same symbol a long time ago. If I recall correctly it is related to some feature available in specific carriers. I'll try to find the thread.

What does this icon mean in the call log of my Samsung Galaxy s8

It is a capital T with horizontal lines. It shows to the right of the number in the log
