Memory Card problem

I have just put a new 64gb memory card in my phone because the 8gb could no longer stall all my music on spotify or play music.

However, it doesn't seem to have made any difference, it is still saying it is full even though I haven't added anything new.

Phone is samsung galaxy

Which model of Samsung Galaxy series? The original Galaxy S or something newer?

I'm willing to bet if its the original series or around that time the device & OS may not be designed to recognized a 64 GB memory card.

Are you sure you can download Spotify music to your external card? I'm not sure, but I'm guessing that with both apps, you can only download music to internal storage, not external, so it probably won't matter how big a card you insert.
