Menu to Multitask

Is there any ROM that can allow the menu button to multitask and when long press is when the menu pops up?

Not a ROM, but Nova Launcher does.

Yes, his recommendation applies to the SGSIII.
You may want to check out Button Savior: http://market.android.com/details?id=com.smart.swkey or some similar app though, since the Nova Launcher capability is only available when you're on a Home screen - once you're in an app, the Menu button gets re mapped to default and none of the other Nova Launcher gestures work.
