Message and email alerts

Can someone tell me how to have different ringtones/alerts for emails and text messages? I can only seem to change both together. Thanks

I would like to know this as well. I am using an S5 but came from a bionic that could do it.

Then scroll down and you'll see the options.

However if you're using an app instead of the phones default, I'm not sure. I don't want my email together for g mail and Hotmail, so I don't have the default app. But haven't figured out how to change those notifications in the other apps. Maybe I'm just missing it. I looked in the app itself, but nope, no way to change notifications that I could see.
