Android Central Question

I recently upgraded to a S9 and I'm having a problem with Message+ not remaining open like it did on my previous phone. When I press the lower left button to see what is open on my phone, I could always see Message+ there plus Connect for my emails and whatever else I had open. But even if I just sent a text and didn't close Message+, it keeps disappearing from my open apps and I have to open it again each time. I've searched online, but I can't see that anybody else has had issues with this problem. Any ideas on how to keep Message+ always open and visible? Thanks!

The settings may be different for you, but go to device manager, select battery on bottom left, then scroll down to "unmonitored apps," and select. Select the plus symbol to add, then you should be able to select Message+ to not be put to sleep and given permission to stay in memory.
