Message syncing

Hey everyone.

I just got the Gear S today and am so far loving it.

However I noticed that text messages I send from my phone don't appear on my watch. On my watch I only can view incoming texts and texts that I send from my watch itself. My watch is connected to aa Samsung S6 edge+ and is not on a plan (only connected through Bluetooth.)

Is this normal? I thought the messages app was supposed to mirror my phones contact.

I do not think they mirror each other, I believe it is all stored on the phone because the phone is actually the device sending out the message.

there is no sync of any kind. Gear S is generally a notification handler. No notification, no entry on the watch. The worst is the email. You get notification on the watch. Delete it from the watch only removing the notification, not the actual email on the phone. If you delete from the phone, the notification will still be on the watch.
