Messaging background color

Can anyone tell me how to change background color from white to black, with
white text. I have a vision problem, the type is very small, hard to read, and for me easier to read if it's white text on black background. I see the illustration
on box my Shift came in, so know there must be a way to do it. Thanks for any info.

much better than the stock messaging app.

You can change the background colors whatever you want font colors whatever you want. With handcent there is a 5 megabyte sms limit versus 2 megabyte with the stock messenger.

Don't for get to disable notifications in your stock browser settings or else you will get 2 notifications in you task bar.

Like you I wanted a black background,
with Handset I got it and then some.

You can also make your incoming text 1 color and the outgoing a different one. Also, posted links can be a different
color too.
