messaging pic

does anyone know how to get a pic beside my name when i send a txt msg? i am not connected to face book nor do i have a face book account. when i sent "john" a txt msg for ex i have a picture of him beside his name when he responds. where my msg is it says "Me" and a grey android (loyd) picture... anyone know how to change this?

Which chat app are you using, that will help people answer your question a bit easier, also on which phone?

This will help with menu differences and the like when asking questions about apps and settings.

add yourself to your phonebook then edit your contact and add a picture =)
