OK. I am having a problem with texting on a Samsung Continuum running stock rom/kernel. My wife receives my SMS to her sportatically at best. I solved that issue using Handcent, But, now (Using either Handcent or Go SMS pro) I can't receive MMS messages. I've done some research on the forums and found out that the MMS issue using third party apps is a known problem on Fascinate. Since the fascinate and Continuum are identical as far as firmware, I assume that this is the same issue. I have no problem running the stock messenger app, so that is dealt with. Now, if someone can help me figure out why my wife can't receive my messages, I would be thankful. I know it isn't her phone, because she receives from everyone else. I've tried removing the '+1" from her number @ verizon's advice and that made it so that she does receive some of them, instead of never. But it hasn't totally solved the issue. Any ideas?

I cant offer much other than to say I feel your pain. I have 2 phones on my account (droid incredible and this samsung continuum) and the continuum rarely, if ever receives mms messages. phone locks up constantly and apps force close all the time. Verizon has sent me 3 replacement phones and they all have exactly the same issues. Oh and randomly when exiting apps, the background image changes all by itself. Throw in the fact that my incredible is about to get the 2.3 update likely in the next month and this crap continuum is stuck on 2.1 forever and I will never buy another samsung phone again. Total garbage phone and the lack of any answers is just totally inexcusable.

Their would be two issues regarding your handset first would be from your service provider f your connection. And the second one would be from the application is not supporting in the best way. First issue will be resolved by contacting the service provider and the second issue can be resolved by contacting Samsung representative.

Update on this issue. A few weeks ago, while I was going up the chain of command over at Samsung to complain about the 2.1 issue, I managed to ask about the messaging issue to the single helpful person that works there. He told me that it was a hangup between the contact in my phone, and it's counterpart synced in google. What I needed to do was delete the contact from both, and do a factory reset on my phone. I haven't had the problem since, And that was when I was running stock. I know this is probably a dead thread, but maybe it'll help the next poor soul searching for an answer.
