Hey, so i was rooting my phone and i have done it before and been able to. but this time i wanted to install gingerbread. and i installed clockworkmod and all that jazz but my phone kept on restarting. having delt with the problem before i just set a factory rest and all was good but this time i think i really messed it up and bricked my phone :'( so what keeps happening is that the fastboot boot loader keeps popping up every time i try to restart my phone. and happens every time i click reboot. i have tried a various number of things. so i was wondering if any one could help me. im a little discouraged now and about ready to blow up. so if its fixable plz help me, if not just say its bricked and i need to get anew phone. thanks i greatly appreciate it :)

I'm confused - What were you doing when the re-starts started?

Did you have the OEM Gingerbread on your phone already, and then try to root?

Are you S-OFF or S-ON?

Which clockwork were you installing?

How were you installing Clockwork?

With a little more info I'm sure we can get you running again.

well im not exactly sure what gingerbread i was using. and idk what S-OFF and S-ON is.

the clockwork i used was from the rom manager app.

nothing happens when it restarts i have also tried restoring it and factory reset but nothing. the clockmod recovery say its invalid and wont let it.

i meant that i do nothing when the phone restarts.

If you are booting into HBOOT It should say at the very top if you are S-OFF or S-ON. Which are you?

You, sir, are the prime example of someone who has ZERO business rooting their phone.

No offense, but if you don't understand the concept of S-OFF, or even what software you are trying to apply, then you are asking to get your phone bricked.

Look for a guide to get your phone back to stock that you can do via fastboot, and follow it to the letter.

Then take 2 weeks and read every and any thing that you can find online about rooting the phone. Start at unrEVOked's site - explains exactly what S-OFF is.
