Messenger Doesn't Clear Text Field

After I send a message, the text field still has what I wrote...it doesn't clear, like it has always done.

Anyone know of a fix?

Hi, which phone and message app?
You can force close the message app then check if it ok , if not then clear its data and force stop

I'm using Google Messenger on a T-Mobile REVVL 4+.

I just force closed and data dump Messenger. I tried a test txt to myself and it worked fine, but the issue will stop for a bit and then start back up...so I'll check back in a few days.
