Just had my Optimus T P509 with And ver 2.2 10vl to gingerbread 2.3 It has so many new features...some I still have to learn, The kid (14) that did this for me installed a new ROM as well.
My original reason to root was because I was always running out of space (that 512 MB simm card) and could not delete manufacturers installed files....
I hope to learn a lot here and pass it on...first of all I can see one difference, I liked (for now) in the old interface which gave me notifications when I pressed the button on the very left, also to drag and drop apps...it's not that way now..on the (what was) the notifications tab, I get +add, manage applications, then search, followed in second row by edit then settings, and then more most I had before but no notifications button waaaaaa
I do have an app with notifications (or is that a widget) don't know which installs in the home screen and has all the old features I had...anyway, hope to have lots of fun here
