I have an S5 and am I am on T-Mobile. Yesterday, MHL to HDMI adapter for screen mirroring worked great. Today, phone was upgraded to 5.1.1 (suggested T-Mobile update) and now, whenever I connect the MHL, the phone repeatedly restarts until adapter is unplugged.
T-Mobile suggested I try MHL 3.0 and indicated there was nothing else they could do since it was a Samsung update. Said it was a known issue with 5.1.1.
My question is: Has anyone successfully tried MHL 3.0 after having an issue with 5.1.1 and MHL?
On another note: I also called Samsung - They suggested that since the MHL now crashes my phone after their 5.1.1 update, I should get my TV manufacturer to update their software to be compatible.
