Hi guys! Need your help.
Just got my xiaomi mi box, the international version, model mdz -16-ab.
The problems started right a way when just after I completed my Google account sign in. Any attempt to download apps from the play store fails on various errors, 400, 924, 404, 403 and so on... Mostly complaining the there are problems with the network though it seems to be connected well and my internet connection is top of the line stable connection.
I tried clearing the cache/data of the Google apps, tried connecting the my cellular network through hot spot. Nothing helped.
I was really lost and I eventual managed to find a way to upgrade the os to the latest version (7.0) manually through the recovery. This time things were just a little bit better, but really just a little bit. I managed to somehow install es file explorer from the play store, even netflix but not other apps, getting the same error.
With netflox I can see that the network is super stable. I side loaded other tv apps and also see that the network is stable. You tube app struggles, throwing error that the server was lost.
My conclusion is that there is a problem with the connection to google but I have no idea what could cause such a problem.
