Micro SD card not mounting on Samsung Tab Pro, why is it greyed-out?

I have a Samsung tab Pro 10.1 and when I insert a new micro sd card of 16GB or of 8GB the card won't mount. The option at 'settings>general>storage>mount sd card' is greyed-out and therefore not possible to mount the sd card. Can anyone help me solve this problem?

Format the card before inserting it into your device.

I have also reformatted the sd card into my macbook to the exFat format. is this correct? After doing so I have inserted the card in my tablet. However, still no effect.

try to format sd card into fat32.if still no effect maybe your car reader on the tab not working or sd is fried or something else
