Will it make a huge difference either way?

If its only music and photos, which would be best?

Sandisk ultra seems to be a popular choice.

For recording HD video, its recommended to get the higher class card. But nowadays there isn't that large a difference in price between Class 6/10 so I would just get the class 10 card.

It's all about value/performance.

I have SanDisk products, but bought the 32GB Samsung micro SD card for my S4.

For right now I would avoid SanDisk unless you can be sure you won't get one of the defective cards.
