Has anyone cut their previous Micro-SIM to a Nano-SIM for the MotoX2? If so, did you have to sand it to make it thinner? Did it work OK?

How about just asking your provider for a new nano SIM? Or do you have one of those cheap carriers that charges you for SIMs?

I ordered a nano sim cutter to cut my sim down for the OG Moto X. I had yo sand the edges to smooth them out, but I did not need to make it thinner.

Three cutter was $7 on amazon with free prime shipping. It was well worth it and took me all of 2 minutes to get up and running. I highly recommend going the cutter route rather than trying to cut it manually. Also, the sim cutter came with a piece of sand paper.

I have done three now just by cutting all the plastic away.
It's pretty vital to mark the cut away corner though! As I learnt the first time I did it.
Remember Nanos are also slightly thinner by about the width of a human hair.So it feels a little snug when you put it in.

I went to AT&T and got a Nano .. I also have a Nano to Micro adapter so I can easily switch between the Moto X and the Nexus 5..

So the Tmobile SIM card that somes with the pure edition doesn't work on the $30 plan? Would I have to buy another Tmobile sim card straight from Tmobile website? Thanks.

I did. I printed a PDF that showed a cutting diagram. I used scissors and the diagram to get started, then used the Tmo sim that came with the phone as a guide to finish. I ended up sanding the back a little to thin it out slightly. Works!

Could you link to the exact model of SIM cutter that you bought, please? I want to get one in time for Xmas. Thanks. :)

Just call them and transfer your account to the new SIM. Takes like 25 minutes.

And just read the SIM info off the box to them. No need to pop it out. The guy I talked to swore I had to pop it out. I finally just pretended I did and read it off of the box. How are these people hired? 😕

Edit: I'm on the $30 plan too. In case you're wondering.
