Hi all,

I recently purchased a new Galaxy Tab S 8.4 and there is something that has been bothering me. I noticed that when I try to connect the usb cable to the tab it gets a little bit hard to the point where I have to push it with a some force for it to go in and the same goes for disconnecting it. Now is this normal for the Tab S? I'm just wondering because I have a Galaxy s4 and never had a problem connecting or disconnecting the cable to the phone, it just snaps in place but not so much for the Tab S 8.4.

All answers are greatly appreciated.

Thanks in advance!

Some devices have a port that fits tighter, and some cables also fit tighter. Both will cause this issue - and if you happen to have a device where the port is slightly on the small side and the cable is slightly on the large side, it will be a snug fit that will require a bit more additional force to plug in. Double check the port and the cable to make sure nothing is bent, broken, or damaged and you should be fine.

I seem to have the same issue on my Tab S 10.5. While I've looked and nothing really shows, it's as if there's a burr or something. Some cables fit better and others seem to demand more careful insertion.

I checked and everything seems fine. I'm just glad that it's normal, I guess I have to be careful because I think I might just break it one of these days. Thanks both of you for your help.
