Microphone not working

Hi,

Just got this phone out of the box and activated and the mic is not working... not when I'm on speaker phone, not while using Google Now or the voice recorder. And when I record it's getting absolutely no noise at all. However, it does work with an external headphone mic and over Bluetooth.

I've tried turning it off and removing and reinserting the SIM card, deleting the cache, using a small pin to clear the mic hole of "debris." Nothing is working. Firmware is apparently up to date. Any ideas?

Have you tried turning off Bluetooth?

Yes, it didn't work before Bluetooth was ever turned on. I turned on Bluetooth and mic in my car worked. I have since turned it off and mic still doesn't work.

I'd take the phone back and see what they can do in the store - either get it to work or exchange the phone.
