MicroSD card corrupted several times. Could this be a hardware issue with the phone? Thanks

It could be. Have you tried other SD cards or is it the same card?

corruption can be caused by a number of different reasons. the first thing i would try is using a different SD card in the phone. if it happens again, then you're likely dealing with a phone issue.

if you don't have another SD card, try using that card in another device to see if the same thing happens.

i would believe that the SD card is the issue over the phone. SD cards are quite easy to corrupt and become useless.
