I'm trying to consider getting a X or wait for the Fascinate, I know the fascinate has more native codecs (but I don't watch video on my phone) and I know the other models has GPS issues. Now besides a locked boot loader what issues does the droid X has that I should know about?
Migh tbe getting a phone in two days but I need am lost on one which to get

Low Ringer/Notification sounds (acknowledged by Motorola - fix on the way supposedly)
Some folks (my wife included) experience freezing and needed to get the X replaced
Some folks have stuck pixels
Corporate Email sync issues (acknowledged by Moto again - free Touchdown Licenses)
A few other issues that are typical of a brand new device and discovered by early adopters like us.
Nosing around here, Phandroid, Droid X forums and the Official Motorola Droid X support forums should show you common issues folks have had or are having so you can better decide if you want to jump in now or wait until some dust settles.
Keep in mind the vocal majority are normally the folks having issues - while the folks without issues are happily using their X for whatever and not posting about it.

Thanks, I have one more question I know the droid X used to have a app (removed though) to root the phone. Is there a way to find it on the tubes, or does tyhe one click program on the PC still around here?
