Might switch to M9?

Hello there, community. Its been a while.. I've been on iOS.
Lately, I've been thinking about going back to using android. And what I remember from last year is that the HTC phone was my favorite to use last year, and yes I literally tried all of the phones.
Though I need informed decisions.
How is the battery life?
Camera? This is a big selling point for me. Some people say good, some bad. My iPhone 6 takes stellar shots for my social media purposes. How does the M9 hold up? Like with manual settings? After update? Good for outdoor shots in nature? Sunsets over the bay? All around?
And usability in hand and in general.

I would say that battery life is on par with my iPhone 6. As far as the camera goes, it's a bit of a mixed bag. Day shots are pretty amazing. Equal to if not better than my iPhone. Low light shots are a little more tricky using auto mode. IPhone definitely gets better low light pics generally. If you know how to use manual controls you can get good low light shots. I'm still learning that though. There are others here who can probably help you there. Over in the photos thread I have a few posts comparing the M9 and iPhone 6 shots. These were all with the original firmware before the 5.1 update. I haven't really gotten a chance to do comparisons since.

Overall I'm really happy with my M9. I still have my iPhone 6 and swap out the sim every couple weeks. I think they're both great devices. Each have their strengths and weaknesses. But you can't go wrong with the M9 imo.

I agree the camera requires some learning and patience, but it does take very good daylight pictures. If you already liked HTC phones, I don't see why you wouldn't like the M9

Considering most of the questions you asked involved the camera and you already have an iPhone 6, I would just stick with it for now and wait to see what the Hero device HTC comes out with is like.

Yes, the camera is not very good on my M9 but enough for my need.
Battery life is correct, screen is very good and sound too

All the people I know who have S6 phones hate the battery life :/

I always find myself considering swapping to the M9. Right now I have the S6, brilliant device, had it for about 3 months. I can't fault the device, but I also enjoy trying out new technology. I just don't know if the camera and wireless charging are two things I want to give up. I like to mess about with the manual camera options on the S6, so I don't mind tweaking a bit to get the M9 working, but I also like to just "point and shoot" which is where the S6 hasn't let me down.
