Migrating data on LG STYLO 4

I had to force, with ADB, adoptable storage on my LG STYLO 4. The settings app crashes when I try to migrate data, and now my internal memory is too full to install more apps.

The other apps won't recognize the SD card so I can't manually migrate the data. Is there a way?

Yikes, that doesn't sound good. I was going to un-box and set our Stylo 4 up today. Now I wonder if I should ship it back to amazon! Were you able to resolve or find fix for: recognizing the SD card; settings app crashing, and preventing your internal memory from being 'too full to install more apps'?

. . What other phone might be better, overall, in the $200. ~ $250. range?
