Do we have any news on when the Milestone 2 (Droid 2) is going to be released on Telus?? Any other info would be also be great!

Thanks
Blake

You mean - if - it's going to be released on Telus?

:\ I literally just bought the Milestone this weekend..If this comes out just past my 30 days, I'm gonna be pissed. I don't even know if I like the new design though, haha.

I would bet money Verizon will get this first. Considering that the X is launching tomorrow and the Galaxy S is coming soon as well, I would suspect the Droid 2 comes out in late August or September sometime with 2.2 already rocking.

So, you might want to consider giving the Milestone back if you care enough about having the faster processor (and whatever else Moto improves).

Meh, I don't find the Milestone slow, really. Seeing only 55mb free in app memory horrifies me, (coming from the BB Storm2, I'm used to seeing 100mb+ free) so if the app memory is upped that might be worth it, I just don't know if I can wait that long. :p

Ya I guess the questions is will they release it on Telus, I am sure they will since we have the first one. They were about 4 months behind the Droid when Telus got the Milestone. I hoping for the Milestone 2 by December for Telus. If I was up for a new contract today I would buy the Milestone today, I wouldn't wait for the new version as I don't think they changed enough. I really want the keyboard or else would get the HTC Desire when it hits Telus next month.

Thanks

Why do they "have" to do that?

And people wonder why Canadians dislike Americans just as much as the rest of the world does.

Blake, I totally agree. The extra app memory is tempting, but not tempting enough to wait that long for a friggin device.

Google = American Company,
Haven't you seen how the Droid got released for Verizon & then as a Milestone later?
It might be a good thing to have the Droid/Milestone 2 released later to fix the early bugs of Americas Droid 2 if there will be any.

Okay. I dont think that Canadians hate Americans as I am married to one and she only hates me sometimes. The reason that it has to get released in the US first is because of the fact that moto is an American company and because the us market for mobile comms dwarfs the Canadian market by like 10 to 1. As a business decision it would be foolish to release in Canada first. You release in your home market to maximize margin, and you release in the biggest market to take full advantage of hype and "latest/greatest" consumer habits. Besides, canadian carriers wait generally so they can buy handsets at a cheaper wholesale and then make a better margin on you, their consumer. The whole 3 year contract thing and the lack of a reasonable device insurance option out there really sucks. I would have a hard time trying to deal with anything other than what big red gives me in any of those ways. That being said, you can always brag about canada having better health care and banking/mortgage systems than we have. Some canadians dislike us americans cause we have so much. Don't hate..... congratulate. :)

Well said; plus Canadians have the HTC Wildfire, which I would love to have on Verizon's network!

There's an app where you can move installed apps to the SD card, pretty sure it works on all Android phones.
