Milk damage to S7 speaker

My friend dropped his 4 day old S7 into his bowl of cereal and once it dried his speaker has a different pitch to it. Since it was milk we figure once it dried out it left a residue on the membrane. Is there a way to clean that without opening the phone?

Re: Milk damage to S7 speaker

Welcome to the forums. Possibly with isopropyl alcohol. It is possible the contaminants in milk may not be removed.

I would just stick it in a bowl of water for 5 mins...the phone is water proof so why not just utilize it. It should loosen up any milk residual

I wouldn't put it in alcohol. That could damage the seals that make the phone water resistant.

And never ever distilled water. It can get in places where regular water (with salts still in place) can't.

Next time , if you get any liquid other than water on there then immediately rinse it out with tap water.
