Misdirected from Notification Panel

Recently I purchased the s5 and running v.4.4.2. When I select a social media notification from the notification panel, I'm directed to a notification I have just viewed from the same app. If I close all apps and select from the notification panel, I'm directed to my desktop. Selection works well with other apps, i.e. Gmail, text, etc... I did not have this issue with my previous phone, HTC EVO. Does anyone know if this an app issue, or a version of droid issue? Peers are reporting this issue occurs on their Galaxy Note 3 running v4.4.2.

If you're talking about Facebook, then yeah, it's an app bug. It's been there for quite a while, and I can confirm it happens on Note 3. Don't know if it's Samsung-related, too, but it's definitely the app.

Also, you sued to be able to read the content of a recently-posted comment directly from the notification, and now you can't.
