Missed call / Text notifications? Needed!

Hello

Okay so I got a HTC First, good phone. Really like it

But It does not show any form of notification if I got a missed call, Voicemail, or Text message

On my previous -non smartphone- It would come up as a "Missed call" followed by a number indicator of how many, same goes for my Voicemail and Messages. On the HTC first My message / Voicemail / Phone Icon do not get any form of notifications. In order for me to see if I have any new ones is to go to the actual application itself

Now this is not a major issue, but I would love it if there was a notification Icon informing me if I got any new messages / Calls / Voicemails when I was not around my phone.

have you checked your settings? can you see an led on the phone face,rim,etc.? there should be a setting for what you want if your phone is capable. i use a skyrocket, its an S2 and they did not have notification. i about had a stroke because i really like my phone. someone wrote a app that works fine for it ...noLed. if you have trouble finding the phone setting look in your manual for the setting on notification and then check the play store

Go to settings - display - and check "LED Active". Its unchecked by default. There are only two colors I'm aware of - red and green - it blinks green when you have a notification from Gmail or missed call or something.

Also, make sure you go into each app, Gmail, Messaging, etc, and ensure "notifications" are checked. If all else fails, go into Settings - Apps - and click on each app you want notifications for and make sure "show notifications" is checked.
