Yeah, it sounds like Edify is messing up the Dalvik system.
Just need to straighten out my server, before I mess with it more. Thanks for the help narrowing down the problem.

One thing you can do if you want, is install the older recovery, put a clean install of 1.3.1 on, change the recovery and make a clean nandroid with the newer recovery. Then you can switch back easily enough without messing with the recoveries.

Glad I could help in some way (assuming you were referring to me). When i read that statement in the ROM info list a bell just went off for me. My curiosity was killing me.

No problem, I figured why not help at least narrow down what the cause was since we figured out it was limited to 1.5.
