Missing App icon after install

I have the samsung capativa phone which i have rooted, i installed an app (gps status) which the phone indicated it installed correctly but the icon is not on the application page. I went to setting > applications > manage applications and the appis there with all the pertinant data, just missing the icon on the app page. does anyone have any suggestons???
