Missing Bloatware

I know that there have been numerous complaints about Touchwiz and bloatware in the past.

What I have found with my S7 and S7 Edge is that a couple of things I had gotten used to and quite like had been removed. However, I have managed to find and install the music and video player that Samsung used to include in all of their phones. I prefer these players over and above the likes of VLC for example.

So some of that bloatware was pretty good...

Most Samsung apps are still there, you just get to pick which ones you install (Galaxy Apps most likely). That's a better approach than just killing the apps off. Some of the things I AM missing are the 'gimmicks' they've done away with. Those there's no way to get them back, and for some of us, those were useful, like finger hovering previews (a-la-S-Pen), increasing/decreasing screen sensitivity, flick your hand to scroll (or your eyes), etc. They're also doing this on apps, like their Smart TV companion app (Smart View), where on the older versions you could mirror the TV on your device, and now it's just another media portal from your phone to your TV. :(
